How much dancing did Natalie Portman do in Black Swan?

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Is Natalie Portman ballet’s Milli Vanilli? The ballerina who danced as her double in Black Swan told Entertainment Weekly last week that producers had told her to keep quiet about how much dancing she had done in the film.

Of the full body shots, I would say 5 percent are Natalie,” says Sarah Lane, 27, an American Ballet Theatre soloist who says she was the subject of a “cover-up”. Lane’s comments came in response to a March 23 L.A. Times article in which choreographer Benjamin Millepied (also Portman’s fiance) downplayed the significance of Lane’s contribution. Lane was not listed as a dance double in the film’s credits, but merely as an extra.

Ashton Kutcher: I hated filming sex scenes with Natalie Portman

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

Despite the 16-year age gap and the weeks apart while filming, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are still besotted with each other eight years after they first met. And perhaps that’s just as well, given the steamy romps Ashton took part in for his latest film No Strings Attached.

23rd Underpass is a band that we first got to know in 2008.. The basic concept was to share their music perspective in the Italo disco comeback that was happening in all European capitals. Recently, I got a press release regarding their upcoming (second) live performance at Mad Club, Gazi, Athens, Greece and I tried to follow up with the group, see where they stand now.. Well, the best part of all, is their video clip of You’ll Never Know. But read on to find out more..

Angelina Jolie as Cleopatra in 3D by James Cameron

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Sony envisions a mouth-watering Cleopatra franchise with Hollywood’s only female action star, Angelina Jolie, as the mighty Egyptian Queen. James Cameron, post-Avatar, is being conjured to take on this project because he’s one of the few directors Sony chairman Amy Pascal would trust with such a risky mammoth-budget 3-D period spectacle. But can she and producer Scott Rudin land him? (The answer I hear is yes).
